You can now create your own special fields (known as "attributes") for any of your collections on NatureMapr.

These special fields can be used to collect additional information specific to your own community project or research initiative.

This feature is designed to help better support a variety of common community and research project needs.

Example - gang-gang movement study

1. Edit your collection

From your collection's main page, click Edit

2. Edit your attributes

From the Edit Collection page, click Attributes

3. Define some attributes

Click the Add an attribute button to define up to 10 special fields for your collection.

These are special questions or fields that you would like contributors to fill in when they are reporting sightings into your collection.

You can define the type and possible options for each attribute.

4. Test it out

To see your new attributes in action, click the Add a sighting button from your collection page

Your new attributes will appear on the Add Sighting page prompting contributors to complete your special fields when contributing their sightings.

Do you think you will use this feature? Let us know your feedback below.
