Perhaps we should consider P. unionalis. If I am reading it right 27 specimens from P. austrounionalis were moved to P. unionalis on BOLD (Hobern). I can see a hint of the dots beside the costa stripe. But which I now see is not on ALA or AFD. ........... sneaky ! it is listed as a synonym.... although not on ALA

Inoue, 1997 noted the distribution of unionalis as Africa, Madagascar, S. Europe, Middle East, Afghanistan, Pakistan. India and Nepal. He also notes, the eastern limit at present known is NE India, though Australia was often included in its distribution. He went on to describe austrounionalis for Australia and New Caledonia, Noting it is indistinguishable from unionalis, apart from various differences in the male genitalia
