Was watching a spider scurrying around the trunk. It was totally uninterested in the many lady beetle larvae and seemingly avoiding the many meat ants. Was distracted before spotting that it had collected an ant so unsure if it caught a live ant or found a dead one. As per my previous sighting it then attached the ant to its abdomen. I was then further distracted by someone asking what I was photographing and when I looked again the spider had gathered a second ant, which it also attached to its abdomen. It the spent much time navigating to avoid the live meat ants on the trunk. At this time I also noticed that there were three additional spiders on the trunk and there was a bit of altercation when this spider met with one of the others. It eventually found a safe alcove under some bark.
