Thwaitesia nigronodosa (Black-spotted Thwaitesia)

One of two Australian species in this genus of sparkling spider. The exact colours can vary - pink and yellow is common - but the black-tipped bumps distinguish this species. Perhaps surprisingly, this beauty belongs to the same spider family as the common Long-legged House Spider (that we all have hanging in the corner of the room!), and the famous Red-backed Spider.
